License Agreement


Use of the Diatomic 1.02 (the “software”) provided with this agreement constitutes your acceptance of these terms set forth by the author. If you (the “user”) do not agree to the terms of this agreement, you should promptly remove the software together with all copies from your computer. Use of this software is conditioned upon compliance by user with the terms of this agreement.

1. The author of the software grants you the right to use the software for only educational and research purposes.

2. Use of the software requires the user’s proper citation of the software. The following references should be included when citing Diatomic:

Xiaofeng Tan, Diatomic, a spectral simulation program for diatomic molecules on Windows platforms, release 1.02 (2002).

Xiaofeng Tan, Diatomic: A powerful spectral simulation program for diatomic molecules, the Ohio State University 57th International Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy, Columbus, TA01 (2002).

3. The software may be freely distributed, provided the distribution package is not modified and only for research and educational purposes. No person or company may charge a fee for the distribution of the software without written  permission from the author of the software. Redistribution of registration keys in any kind is not allowed.

4. The user may not use, copy, emulate, clone, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the software, or any subset of the software, except as provided for in this agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result in immediate and automatic termination of this license and may result in criminal and/or civil prosecution.

5. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved by the author of the software.

Disclaimer of Warranty


The software is distributed "AS IS". NO warranty of any kind is expressed implied. The author will not be liable for any kind of possible data loss or any damage to the user computer system while using the software. The user must assume the entire risk of using the software.
