Zhuolong Yu is currently a faculty member (特任教授) at the School of Computer Science and Technology, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). He received his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, where he was advised by Prof. Xin Jin and Prof. Vladimir Braverman, focusing on network programming for large-scale systems. Before joining USTC, he spent two and a half years at Microsoft, working on high-performance networking, particularly RDMA, to support hyper-scale AI systems (OpenAI and Microsoft AI's training workloads) and large-scale storage systems (Azure Storage).
