On Thursday, May 27, 2021, Johns Hopkins University held its annual commencement at the Homewood Campus. This year’s commencement was a graduate-only, in-person ceremony, based on public health guidance and state and local regulations.
The 2021 class was the largest graduating class in department history. The Department of Computer Science awarded 92 degrees to CS Majors and 33 CS Minors. Sixty-eight percent earned departmental honors.
The department conferred 52 Master of Science in engineering degrees and 25 PhD degrees.
William Cho, computer science major and senior class president, gave pre-recorded remarks at the Class of 2021 Commencement.
“For all that we have accomplished, and all that we will, it is thanks to those who came before us and those who supported us on our journeys: faculty and staff, families and friends, and one another. As we prepare to leave this institution, I simply ask you all to never stop striving for the truth,” said Cho.
