Suchi Saria, the John C. Malone Assistant Professor of Computer Science, has been selected as a Young Global Leader.
Each year, the World Economic Forum bestows this honor on the world’s most distinguished leaders who are under the age of 40. Those selected are invited to become an active member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders, a unique global network of peers working to significantly impact world affairs and shape the global agenda.
Saria joined the Johns Hopkins University in 2012 and holds joint appointments in the Departments of Applied Mathematics and Statistics and Health Policy and Management. She is also the director of the Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab and the founding research director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. Her research focuses on developing next-generation diagnostic and treatment planning tools that leverage modern statistical and computational techniques to individualize care.
