Xin Jin, an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, has received a Facebook Communications & Networking research award for “Scaling Distributed Storage with Programmable Switches.”
The Communications & Networking research awards program was launched by Facebook to spur research and innovations that are key to building next-generation communications and networking systems. By sponsoring research and collaborating across a wide range of networking research areas, Facebook expects to share new insights with the broader networking community.
Jin’s research interests lie in computer networks and distributed systems, with a focus on software-defined networking, programmable networks, distributed storage, cloud computing, big data analytics systems, blockchain, and AI-driven networks and systems.
