Engines owned by John Franklin Kalb (pictured) in 1912. The 'business' involved traveling from farm to farm in Western Baltimore County to run equipment during the harvest season.
A monopoly for its time, these were the only two steam engines available to perform this task.
The Steam Traction Engine was built by the Guizer & Frick, Co. of Williamsburg, Pennsylvania.

I climbed all this way for this? Looking Northwest Looking North along the Taff river valley (Taff Vale) towards Pontypridd

In the 1995 movie "The Englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain" starring Hugh Grant - the hill/mountain was called Ffynnon Garw (a fictional name). The real village is Taff's Well (Ffynnon Taf in Welsh), and the mountain is Garth Mountain. It is just about two miles south of the University of Glamorgan adjacent to the railway line towards Cardiff. Although the movie was filmed in North Wales, much of the town names and historical locations actually refer to the true South Wales area.

Nice view!

The view from the back deck at the Court House Pub in Caerphilly, Wales. Caerphilly Castle is absolutely impressive.

Delft, Netherlands - where all the cars look like bicycles. Verzorgingsplaats Monument along the 20 mile enclosure dam (Afsluitdijk) - his butt is pointing towards the North Sea for some reason. Abandoned border checkpoint between Belgium and France along the E19.

Eiffel Tower as viewed form the observation deck. Forget the elevator ride - I'm not waiting in that line for tickets! Wow, you don't get a view like this one every day.

Visiting Paris for tourism and a good pub crawl in the Latin Quarter.

Hmm, what's that hill in the background? Nice front lawn! Very nice neighborhood - no street crime here. Newly renovated - don't mind that volcano in the backyard. I guess she wasn't impressed with the town's brothel.

Visiting Naples to take a tour of Pompeii.

Oh, the next town is just a short 100 or so miles down the road. Grizzly Country Store near Tolsona, AK - about 130 miles from Anchorage. Eklutna Lake (Chugach State Park - Anchorage, AK) Matanuska Glacier Northeast of Palmer Walking on a Glacier - my contribution to global warming.
