Opening night (May 20, 2004) of Alfred's Bar & Grill (Pontypridd, Wales, UK).
Enjoying the evening at Alfred's.
Having a pint
of Ale with the town Mayor the previous day.
In the 1995 movie "The Englishman who went up a hill and came down a mountain"
starring Hugh Grant - the hill/mountain was called Ffynnon Garw (a fictional name).
The real village is Taff's Well (Ffynnon Taf in Welsh), and the mountain is
Garth Mountain. It is just about two miles south of the University of
Glamorgan adjacent to the railway line towards Cardiff. Although the movie
was filmed in North Wales, much of the town names and historical locations
actually refer to the true South Wales area.
The view from the back deck at the Court House Pub in Caerphilly, Wales.
Caerphilly Castle
is absolutely impressive.
Some other interesting places.
Visiting Paris for tourism and a good pub crawl in the Latin Quarter.
Visiting Naples to take a tour of Pompeii.
Visiting Alaska during the 2009 Summer Solstice.
Visiting Alaska during the 2011 Summer Solstice.
Visiting Montego Bay, Jamaica - the hip strip.
Visiting FuerteVentura - Canary Islands, Spain.
