Mr. Kalb is interested in developing and applying technology to deter the reverse engineering and/or insertion of malicious code fragments (e.g., Easter Eggs) into embedded computer system software assets. Mr. Kalb's experience began with the development of tools and methodologies for successful software exploitation given only the 1's and 0's contained within an executable image. Mr. Kalb continues to examine exploitation techniques to derive advanced software-only protection technology to detect and deter software tampering events.
"SOFTWARE: no other product is so
difficult to create,
easy to copy,
even easier to distribute,
and next to impossible to effectively protect."
