At the Johns Hopkins Computer Graphics Group, our interests span a
broad range of topics. Focusing on the analysis behind the graphics, we
have been studying shape retrieval, symmetry detection, surface
reconstruction, mesh editing, and image processing. Using the analysis
to guide design decisions, we are pursuing a number of exciting and
challenging projects. These include reconstruction of surfaces from
huge point-sets, stitching giga-pixel imagery, and interactive
processing of surface geometry comprised of millions of triangles.
In our lab we try to facilitate
independence of research tracks for
students, while at the same time moving them all towards the common
goal of understanding the theoretical prinicpals that underly the
behavior of imagery and geometry. This naturally
fosters collaborations and exchange of ideas. In addition, we have
regular lab get-togethers, individual research meetings and seminars.
